In pigment printing, the pigment printing paste is made by thickening agent, water, adhesive and pigment printing. When the shear force disappears, the original high viscosity is restored and the fabric prints are clear. The viscosity changes along with the shear force is mainly achieved by thickening agents. In the emulsion paint, thickening agent play a coordinating role in the thickening, stability and rheological properties of emulsion paint . In the process of emulsion polymerization, it is used to protect the colloid and improve the stability of the emulsion. In the dispersing process of pigment and packing, it improves the viscosity of dispersing material. In the process of restoring and transportation, it improves the stability and resistance to freezing and thawing of coating to prevent pigment and packing from sinking. In the process of construction, it adjusts the the viscosity of emulsion paint and presents the good thixotropy and so on.
