Multi Functional Finishing agent- hydrophilic antistatic agent
Hydrophilic, antistatic and decontamination finishing agent mainly have an effect by providing fiber surface hydrophilization to promote its hygroscopicity and also to improve comfortableness of textiles.
1. Polyester epoxy ethane condensation compound
Structure: block copolymer of polyethylene glycol and glycol diethyl phthalate, its molecular structure contains poly chains and polyether chains. Polyether chains provide textile hydroscopicity. Poly chains have similar structure with polyester macromolecules which can form cocrystallization with poly macromolecules by entering into the surface of poly fibers and thus make finishing agent attach to polyester which give textile durability.
Properties: it can give textile hydroscopicity, decontamination and make it antistatic, also it stop textile get dirty again. It improve comfortableness of textiles.
The portion of the two kind of chains directly influence the properties of finishing agent. If hydrophilic chains have a bigger portion then hydrophily and later dispersibility will be enhanced, but washing fastness will decrese. Otherwise, if poly chains have a bigger portion washing fastness increase but hydrophily and later dispersibility decrease. If we could add sulfonate aromatic dicarboxylic acid to poly chains by using sulfonated monomers ( like sodium dimethylisophthalate 5-sulfonate), we can increase hydrophily of finishing agent and make later dispersibility easy to proceed. Hydrophily of finishing agent can be increased greatly by using aliphatic polyols with hydrophilic group ( like 2-sulfonate-1, 4-butanediol).
2. Acrylic polymer
It is a kind of copolymer of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid with acrylics and can work as finishing agent of polyester and other synthetic fiber to make them hydrophilic, antistatic and easy for decontamination. It has ester group which is similar with polyester and has strong appetency with polyester, it has durability on finishing effects. Its carboxyl are oriented arranged on the surface of textiles which form a layer of negion hydrophilic film and provide textiles great hydrophily, antistatic ability and decontaminating ability.
3. Polyamine compounds
Polyamine hydrophilic finishing agent can be gained thorough the reaction between polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether and polyethylene and polyamine. It can adsorb on the surface of textile by filming function and osmosis. Textile have great electrical conductivity and decontaminating ability because adding hydrophilic polyethylene glycol to it.
It usually need big molecular weight distribution, big molecular weight make it easy to form film and small molecular weight make it easy to permeate. Both of the two traits can improve washing fastness. We can also add epoxy group to both sides of molecules to promote its reactiveness. –OH and –NH2 in molecular structure can react with multi-functional group cross-linking agent to form linear or three dimensional nets which can improve washing fastening.
