Solvent-based polyurethane coating finishing agent: Solvent-based polyurethane coating agent after film formation is rich in elasticity, flexibility and toughness, and has good dry cleaning and washing resistance. There is little correlation between hand feeling and temperature. It is a suitable coating agent for clothing. Its disadvantage is that it can easily penetrate into the inside of the base cloth to harden the handle, or leak into the reverse side of the scraper, thus affecting the appearance of the finished fabric. To overcome these shortcomings, thixotropic varieties or acrylate coatings can be used.
Solvent-based polyurethane coating agent can be divided into two components, one component and two components. The two-component product is composed of prepolymer and crosslinking agent. Prepolymer is a hydroxyl-terminated prepolymer formed by the reaction of isocyanate and oligopolyol. The crosslinking component is a compound containing more than three (or more) isocyanate groups. When the coating is finished, the two components cross-linked on the fabric to form a network film; the one-component product is macromolecular substances directly copolymerized by isocyanate-terminated group and polyol. Solvents used in solvent-based polyurethane products are usually mixtures, which can be divided into two categories: DMF-containing and DMF-free. DMF is usually a mixture of DMF, butanone and toluene; DMF-free is usually a mixture of toluene, isopropanol and ethylene glycol methyl ether (or ethylene glycol ether).
Solvent-based polyurethane coating agent adopts the wet process in the processing of coated fabrics in order to achieve the effect of waterproof and moisture permeability.
Waterborne polyurethane coatingfinishing agent: Waterborne polyurethane coating agent has strong intermolecular interaction as there are many polar groups in macromolecules. Therefore, it has excellent film-forming property, which can form tough and elastic film on the fabric, and also has certain moisture permeability. Its disadvantage is that it is sensitive to acid and alkali, which may be caused by the influence of acid and alkali on the dispersion effect of ionic emulsifier.
Water-borne polyurethane coating agent can be divided into external emulsifying type and self-emulsifying type according to the adding of emulsifying agent. External emulsifying products contain emulsifiers, which may have adverse effects on adhesion, strength, toughness and water resistance. In order to solve this problem, self emulsifying products are gradually increasing, mainly by introducing suitable hydrophilic groups on the molecular chains, and spontaneously dispersing to form emulsion under certain conditions. Waterborne polyurethane coating agent can also be used with polyacrylate coating agent.
