Analysis of the Role and Application of Textile Auxiliaries

Time:   Click: 642

Normally, modern textile industry comprises two important parts: the manufacture of textiles, mainly including spinning and weaving, is the process of forming textiles; and the finishing of textiles, which involves pretreatment, dyeing, printing, and post-finishing of gray fabric, is essentially the process of reprocessing, decorating, and beautifying textiles.

Definition of Textile Auxiliaries

Unlike the production of textiles, textile finishing is mainly based on chemical processing, so a large amount of dyes and auxiliary chemicals are usually used. These auxiliary chemicals are usually called textile dyeing and finishing auxiliaries, or simply textile auxiliaries.

Functions of Textile Auxiliaries

During the processing of textiles, textile auxiliaries play a very important and even indispensable role, mainly in the following aspects:

  • Textile auxiliaries can shorten processing time, reduce processing steps, and improve production efficiency;

  • Energy savings, water conservation, time-saving, and labor-saving can reduce production costs;

  • Textile auxiliaries can improve the quality and performance of textiles, give textiles special functions and styles, and increase the added value of finished products;

  • Using textile auxiliaries can effectively reduce environmental pollution and protect the ecological environment.

In short, all the chemical substances used in textile finishing, except for dyes, are textile auxiliaries. However, we usually do not call commonly used acids, alkalis, salts, and simple organic compounds in the textile industry as textile auxiliaries, because they are widely used chemical raw materials, and have extensive applications in many industrial fields.

Therefore, strictly speaking, textile auxiliaries refer to fine chemicals with special properties used in textile processing, especially in chemical finishing.

The Role of Chemical Analysis in the Development of Textile Auxiliaries:

The development of new textile auxiliaries. Direct analysis of products, drawing on inspiration, and adding creativity can be a good way to develop new products.

Knowing the latest developments of similar products at home and abroad, paying close attention to the technological trends of products in the same industry, is an important job. Analysis work can be the quickest way to obtain first-hand information on advanced technology.

Direct imitation of textile auxiliaries. Analysis is a shortcut to directly imitate chemical products, making the investment and cycle of imitating small and quick, and the effect immediate. Without infringing on intellectual property rights, directly analyzing interested products is undoubtedly a quick method for developing new products.
