Application of Sublimation Fastness Fixing Agent in Practical Production

Experiment method: Test whether the washing fastness of the sample cloth (including spandex) supplied by customers is improved after different treatment.

Test method for washing fastness: 5g/l soap tablet and 2g/ l sodium carbonate, 60℃x30min

Extension experiment:
1. Comparison of different schemes of polyester dyeing, reduction cleaning or non reduction cleaning, rolling silicone oil and sublimation fastness fixing agent RB;
2. Comparison of different schemes of polyester cotton jersey (including spandex), reduction cleaning or one bath soaping for T/C, rolling silicone oil and sublimation fastness fixing agent RB.

1.Dyeing process for T/C:
1.1 Dyeing for polyester (polyester is the same as this process)

Bath ratio: 1:10 Auxiliaries: acetic acid 0.5g/l
Post treatment: Rinse - reduction cleaning (NaOH 1g/l, insurance powder 3 g/l, 90 ℃ x15min) - Rinse
1.2  Dyeing for cotton: 


Bath ratio: 1:10 Auxiliaries: sodium sulfate 70g/l, soda ash 20g/l
After treatment: Rinse- soaping (boiling with soaping agent HX for cotton 2g/l for 10 minutes) - Rinse - dehydration - dry
Or Rinse --one bath soaping for T/C( one bath soaping agent HTC for T/C 3g/l 85 ℃ x20min) - Rinse

The experiment results: the color fastness of the sublimation fixative RB  40g/l was improved by 0.5 grade. The effect of using hydrophilic or non hydrophilic silicone oil together with fixing agent RB is similar to use fixing agent Rb alone.

Rubbing fastness: the fastness of rolling sublimation is better than that of non rolling, and it is better to wash the sample cloth with one bath of soap agent than without soaping. 

Extension experiment: 1. Dyeing for polyester cloth disperse ECO 300% black (representative of conventional disperse dyestuff) dyeing: the washing fastness of reduction cleaning water can up to 4 grades, and it does not need to be treated with sublimation fastness fixing agent; the washing fastness of non reduction cleaning : only rolling sublimation fastness fixing agent only is better than rolling silicone oil with sublimation fastness fixing agent at the same time , which is better than rolling silicone oil only added softener);

2. Dyeing black for polyester cotton cloth (with spandex common grey cloth which easily staining after dyed disperse spandex) is dyed black. using with conventional disperse ECO300% black and active WNN black are used. The washing fastness of polyester cotton-bath soap washing process is equivalent to that of traditional reduction washing process. The results show that the washing fastness decreases slightly, but the change is little. When silicon oil and sublimation fastness fixing agent are rolled at the same time or only sublimation fastness fixing agent is rolled, the washing fastness can be improved by about 0.5 grade.

Summary: The fastness has half grade improved of the sample cloth after sizing with rolling of sublimation fastness fixing agent .The effect of hydrophilic silicone oil in one bath with RB is similar to that of using RB alone.Rubbing fastness with sublimation fastness fixing agent are better than that of non added. It is better to one bath with soaping agent for T/C than no soaping.
Extension experiment 1:
Polyester dyeing: the process is the same as the polyester dyeing process of polyester cotton dyeing, and the post-treatment is divided into reduction cleaning and non cleaning, and direct water washing.
Reduction cleaning: NaOH 1g/l, sodium hydrosulfite 3 g/l, 90 ℃ x15min
polyester cotton-bath soaping: polyester and cotton-bath soaping agent HTC 3g/l, 85 ℃ x20mi

Summary: Dyeing for polyester of disperse ECO300%  (on behalf of conventional disperse dyes) is dyed on polyester cloth. 1. With reduction cleaning process, the washing fastness can up to grade 4, and it does not need to be treated with fixing agent; 2. For no reduction cleaning, the water washing fastness: only rolling sublimation fastness fixing agent is batter than adding silicon oil with sublimation fastness fixing agent at the same time, which is larger than rolling only silicon oil (added softener);

It is known from the previous experiments that the rubbing fastness of silicone oil and sublimation fastness fixing agent rolled at the same time is better than that of only rolling silicone oil
Extension experiment 2:
Dyeing for T/C :
Reduction cleaning process (traditional dyeing process): polyester dyeing - water washing - reduction cleaning - water washing - cotton dyeing - water washing - active soap agent soaping - water washing - drain - drying
Polyester cotton-bath soaping process: polyester dyeing - water washing - cotton dyeing - water washing - polyester cotton one bath soaping agent soaping - water washing - dehydration -dry

Dyeing formula: disperse dyeing: disperse black ECO 300% 3%  reactive dyeing: active black WNN 200% 3% Glacial acetic acid 0.5g/l,sodium hydroxide 70g / L, soda 20g / L
Reduction cleaning: NaOH 1g/l, baking powder 3G / L, 90 ℃ x15min
Polyester cotton-bath soap washing: polyester cotton-bath soap washing liquid HTC 3g/l,  85 ℃ x20min

Summary: the washing fastness of one bath soaping of T/C  is equivalent to that of reduction cleaning process. There was no significant difference in washing fastness between hydrophilic silicone oil and non hydrophilic silicone oil, and one bath rolling of silicone oil and sublimation fastness fixative could improve the washing fastness by half.
It can be concluded from the above experiments that our sublimation fastness fixing agent can not only improve the sublimation fastness, but also improve the washing fastness and rubbing fastness!
